Cookie Policy

Last updated: 10 September 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are used on healingwithmeditations.com, why they are used, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — local storage, session storage, pixels, web beacons and device identifiers — do comparable things, and everything in this policy applies to them too.

First-party cookies are set by this Site. Third-party cookies are set by other companies whose services appear on this Site, such as Google. Session cookies disappear when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain for a set period.

2. Your choices come first

When you first visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent banner asks what you allow. Nothing other than strictly necessary cookies is set until you choose. Visitors from other regions may see a notice with equivalent controls.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the Site footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place.

3. Categories of cookies we use

3.1 Strictly necessary

Required for the Site to work: page delivery, caching, security, load balancing and remembering your consent choice itself. These do not require consent and cannot be switched off here.

  • LiteSpeed Cache — page and object caching, so pages load quickly. First-party.
  • Consent storage — records the choice you made in the consent banner, so you are not asked on every page.
  • WordPress session and security cookies — set only if you log in or leave a comment.

3.2 Preferences / functional

Remember choices you make, such as a theme or display setting, so the Site behaves the way you left it. Set only with your consent where consent is required.

3.3 Statistics / analytics

Help us understand which pages are read, how people arrive and where they leave, so we can improve the Site.

  • Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-3XE6KQGNT7) and Google Tag Manager (container GTM-56QND4G), provided by Google. Typical cookies: _ga, _ga_*. Retention up to 2 years, configurable.

Google’s practices are described at How Google uses information from sites that use our services. You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

3.4 Marketing / advertising

Used to deliver advertising, to limit how often you see the same advertisement, and — where you have allowed it — to make advertising more relevant to you.

  • Google AdSense (publisher ID pub-7154604851132509) and Google’s advertising partners. As a third-party vendor, Google uses cookies to serve ads on this Site. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • YouTube (Google LLC) — set when a video embedded on this Site is loaded or played.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by Google at Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of personalised advertising by many other vendors at optout.aboutads.info, optout.networkadvertising.org and, for European visitors, youronlinechoices.eu.

4. Consent Mode and our consent management platform

This Site uses a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF v2.2), together with Google Consent Mode v2.

In practice this means that until you give consent, Google’s advertising and analytics tags run in a restricted state: no advertising or analytics cookies are written, and only aggregated, non-identifying signals may be sent. If you decline, you will still see advertising, but it will be non-personalised — selected from the general content of the page rather than from any profile about you.

5. Embedded third-party content

Articles embed videos from YouTube and may embed other third-party media. When such content loads, the provider can set its own cookies and receive your IP address and page URL. We cannot read those cookies. Their handling is governed by their own policies, including the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Do Not Sell or Share (US state privacy laws)

Serving personalised advertising may be treated as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and as “targeted advertising” under similar laws in other US states. We do not sell personal information for money.

To opt out, use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer to reject the advertising category. We also honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal where it is transmitted.

7. Managing cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies in their settings, usually under Privacy or Site data. Instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.

Blocking all cookies may stop parts of the Site working, and clearing cookies also clears your recorded consent choice, so you will be asked again.

8. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the services on the Site change. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. The live list of cookies actually set on your device is always available in the consent banner’s preferences panel.
