Privacy Policy

Effective date: 10 September 2026
Previous version: 1 May 2025

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data healingwithmeditations.com (“the Site”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, on what legal basis, who it is shared with, and what rights you have. It applies to the Site, its articles, quizzes and interactive tools, and its embedded media.

1. Who is responsible

Healing with Meditations is the controller of the personal data described here.

Contact: info@healingwithmeditations.com
Website: https://healingwithmeditations.com

2. Data we collect

2.1 Data you give us

  • Contact and message data — your name, email address and the content of your message when you write to us.
  • Comment data — where commenting is enabled: your name, email address, comment text, IP address and browser user agent. WordPress may create an anonymised hash of your email address to check whether you are a Gravatar user.

2.2 Data collected automatically

  • Technical and usage data — IP address, device and browser type, operating system, language, referring URL, pages viewed, time on page, scroll and click events, and approximate location derived from IP at city level.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy for the full list and controls.
  • Advertising identifiers — cookies and identifiers used by Google and its advertising partners to deliver and measure advertising.

2.3 Quizzes, calculators and interactive tools

Our quizzes, number calculators and card-draw tools run in your browser. We do not store your individual answers or results and we do not link them to you, unless a specific tool says otherwise on the page.

2.4 Data we do not want

Please do not send us special-category data — health conditions, diagnoses, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation or similar — in a comment or an email. We do not ask for it, we do not need it, and we will delete unsolicited special-category data.

Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it at any time through the “Cookie settings” link in the footer or by writing to us. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

Outside the EEA and UK, where consent is not legally required, we rely on notice and on the opt-out choices described in section 8.

4. Advertising, Google AdSense and third-party vendors

This Site is supported by advertising. The following disclosures are required by Google’s publisher policies and we make them in full:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • Alternatively, you may opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at optout.aboutads.info, optout.networkadvertising.org or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Third-party vendors and ad networks other than Google may also serve advertisements on this Site and set their own cookies. The full, current list of advertising vendors and their purposes is available in the preferences panel of our consent banner.

Our advertising publisher ID is pub-7154604851132509, as declared in our ads.txt file.

4.1 Consent management and Consent Mode

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF v2.2), together with Google Consent Mode v2. Advertising and analytics tags remain in a restricted, cookieless state until you make a choice. If you decline, you will still see advertising, but it will be non-personalised.

5. Who receives your data

  • Google LLC — Google AdSense (advertising), Google Analytics 4 (property G-3XE6KQGNT7), Google Tag Manager (container GTM-56QND4G), Google Search Console, Site Kit, and YouTube for embedded video. See the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites that use our services.
  • Our hosting provider — stores the Site and its server logs on our instructions, as a processor.
  • Automattic / WordPress.org services where a component uses them, such as Gravatar for comment avatars.
  • Advertising vendors you have consented to through the consent banner. The current list is always available in its preferences panel.

We do not sell your personal data for money, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing other than as described above for advertising.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers, including Google, are based in or process data in the United States and other countries outside the EEA and the UK. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA or the UK, it is protected by an adequacy decision (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, where the recipient is certified) or by Standard Contractual Clauses together with supplementary measures. You can ask us for details of the safeguards used.

7. How long we keep data

  • Contact messages — up to 24 months after the matter is closed.
  • Comments and their metadata — kept while published, so follow-up comments can be recognised; deleted on request.
  • Analytics data — as configured in Google Analytics 4, up to 14 months for user-level data.
  • Server and security logs — typically up to 12 months.
  • Consent and advertising cookies — as set out in the consent banner’s preferences panel; typically up to 13 months for consent storage.

8. Your rights

8.1 If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland

You have the right to access your data; to have it corrected; to have it erased; to restrict or object to processing, including profiling for direct marketing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority — in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

8.2 If you are in California or another US state with a privacy law

You have the right to know what personal information is collected and why; to access, delete and correct it; to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell personal information for money. Serving personalised advertising may constitute “sharing” under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, and “targeted advertising” under comparable state laws. To opt out, use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer and reject the advertising category. We also honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where your browser sends it.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

8.3 How to exercise your rights

Email info@healingwithmeditations.com with your request and enough information for us to find your data. We respond within one month (EEA/UK) or 45 days (US states), and we may extend once where a request is complex, telling you why. We may need to verify your identity. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive. You may use an authorised agent where the law allows it.

9. Children

The Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA and the UK. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use HTTPS across the Site, keep software updated, limit administrative access, and apply commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you by automated means. Advertising personalisation carried out by Google and its partners, where you have consented to it, is described in section 4 and in their own policies.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the current version, and we will highlight material changes on this page. Where a change requires it, we will ask for your consent again.
